Planet Coaster 2 needs to be delayed. There, I said it.

It pains me that it has to come to this point, but after hearing about all the downgrades that Planet Coaster 2 has concerning compatibility with consoles, smaller parks, the guest limit, lack of customizable objects, blatant false advertising with the animatronics, it's now apparent that PC2 won't even have nighttime. Essentially making putting lights in your park effectively worthless. If that's not bad enough, the blatant lack of transparency from Frontier with this project in comparison to JWE, PC1, and Planet Zoo is throwing up major red flags. All of our legitimate concerns about the quality of Planet Coaster 2 at launch is falling on deaf ears, almost as if they are blatantly ignoring people voicing legitimate concerns about this game.

Frontier, it's DEFCON 1. You are risking an absolutely DISASTROUS launch in the vein of Cities Skylines II. THIS GAME SHOULD NOT BE RELEASED IN THIS STATE. It needs to be delayed at least a month, if not more, to deal with all of these potentially game-breaking issues.

And if you insist on releasing it on November 6th, it needs to be recategorized as an early access title with the price lowered from 60 to 30 dollars, and the pre-orders should be reimbursed half of what they paid.

Issue I find is that clearly testing was seemingly limited to content creators and, no disrespect to them, are they really "proper game players"?
I say that because they're around to make money themselves by building a few things for a YouTube channel.
Players, like myself, just want a relaxing game to play in an evening or weekends/days off from work. I'm not saying I'd be great at spotting issues etc but you're asking, effectively, a small pool of people to talk about the game to trial it.

Many many years ago games used to have demos, even post magazine cd days, to get their fans and new buyers attention and feedback. I remember buying PC magazines and getting the CDs off the front to try new games out. I'd have feedback for them as well as a potential buyer.

If I recall, there seemingly was a lot more people testing PC1 before release meaning when it was released it was a bit more stable.

Even Call Of Duty had beta sessions, before actual release last week, to the masses to get feedback etc.
All we've got is the usual streamers giving opinions, or those lucky enough to get time off work/unemployed to go try it at the expo in the summer. I will admit I knew nothing of it until days before the event. But seemingly the content creators knew.
It's like they're much more focused on the YouTubers etc than the fans these days.

Agreed, this game should atleast have a couple of weeks with a pre-order alpha fase, so they can get an unbiased feedback from people that actually play the game. Because it sadly feels like the devs have never even played the game outside of the development fase
(Also them giving the game early to soo many content creators kind of feels like a middle finger to the core audience that still have to wait)

In all honesty, Youtubers have stated a couple of months ago up until now, that some things need to be fixed, such as the UI for example. But it doesn't appear Frontier have taken anything on board.

watched some LiveChannels yesterday (YT,Twitch) and i have to say there are SO MANY content creators who re not REALLY interested in this game ... feels bad and btw Frontier pls fix the audio of Overpower ... its not realistic not even close of realisim :D
That's my opinion.
They're interested in doing short videos for extra likes and subscriptions and, of course, the money. They're not interested in the game per se. It's a job to them.

Where's the info from that there won't be nighttime at all?
I would say that normally over 90% of theme park opening hours are in daylight time. Lights can be used in dark rides and buildings, as well.

But I would like to have the option to watch my park at night.

I understand that Frontier calculated on console sales from PC1 and PZ and tried to keep dev costs low. But Planet Coaster is a pc game first and they should have to deliver it like that...
Every handling should be optimised for pc gaming.

I might reconsider this when I'll play it for the first time. But until then I have to say that they should think about the people who made PC as big...

It is very sad but I must agree as well. I don’t want for Planet Coaster to follow the same faith Cities Skylines did. That would mean the end of a franchise.

At the moment they seem to only push it to every single YouTuber on the planet, to create as much casual buyers interest as possible... I think they know already they F'd up with the community, so now they are trying to get as much casual sales as possible, before the s##t storm starts.
Yeah I am feeling the same, that’s why they are MUTE and not communicating. :(

I’ve heard some legitimate concerns and only watched a handful of YouTubers. 3 out 4 had some issues. Rudi seemed most adamant about some. On the other hand Sdanwolf hasn’t really had too many complaints and genuinely seems to be enjoying the game. I’m sure he has a list of some issues but hasn’t really mentioned any so I guess I’ll just wait to play before I make any judgement. I do believe they’ll do hotels and restaurants by free updates though. Not trying to be bias and I admit I’m more of a PZ and zoo tycoon guy although I do own PC with all dlc and definitely enjoy playing it but it seems like a zoo game is so much easier to think of ideas for updates and people will always want more and more animals as evident by 18 dlc right now and counting. A adventure park game on the other hand just seems like it would be so much more challenging after awhile all the rides would get repetitive and updates seem like they’d be trickier as well. Just my opinion definitely not trying to offend anyone.

I don't know, delaying feels a bit over the top from what I've seen, honestly.
But wait, the game has no night time? Are we sure about that?

I'd argue that a zoo needs less night time play than a theme park and in PZ we had it in the base game. So if that is true, it is kind of upsetting...

agreed

postpone it one week and fix all the major issues like nighttime, glass pieces, park size, guest cap etc

this is otherwise gonna flop like Cities Skylines 2 and will probably have like 90% bad reviews
