Planet Coaster 2 Should Be an Upgrade, Not a Downgrade – Please Keep the Best of Planet Coaster 1!

Hey team,

I just wanted to share some feedback and hope you can respond directly to this, as I think it’s really important to the community. Planet Coaster 2 should build on the amazing foundation of Planet Coaster 1, not replace or downgrade it. Players like me are hoping for a true upgrade that combines all the sets, objects, and features we loved in the first game, alongside new and exciting features that push the game further.

A downgrade or loss of beloved content would be disappointing to many fans. So we’re strongly asking that you consider bringing over all the old objects and themed sets in future updates. The community wants Planet Coaster 2 to be the ultimate coaster-building experience, and keeping the best of PC1 would make it even better.

Please don’t let us feel like we’re losing something special – we want PC2 to be a true evolution of the original. Can we get a direct response on this? It would mean a lot to know where you stand on this feedback.

Thanks so much for your time!

Taking DLCs out of the equation, just using Base Game.... It is clearly a huge improvement, with many new and upgraded things (paths being a huge upgrade, as is the pools a new item, scalable items too, brush tool for scenery).
The two games are built on two very different engines. So I would imagine some things will have to come later.
We have to expect a game to be released at some point with things to be added otherwise if they waited until everything from PC1 was included, they'd have nothing to sell as part of DLCs and with technology improving, they'd either be releasing a full, dated, game or released a current game (current to the engines and equipment) and improve that as quickly as possible.
That's my thought anyway.

My main issue isn't with game objects. I'm more than happy to support the studio by buying DLCs for years to come. My worry is having less game mechanics than we had in PC1.
