Planet Coaster, Holiday Update

Greetings coaster friends,

We've only just released Planet Coaster and we hope that you're all having a blast playing the game, but we've already got some big news for you!

Since the festive month of December is soon upon us, we are preparing a special holiday update for you! This free content update will be like an early Christmas present for our beloved community. It's going to be filled with a variety of goodies, of which we'll be sharing the details closer its release time. However, one special feature is something that we want YOU to decide!

You, as a community, get to vote on which new flat ride will be included in this holiday update. We've narrowed your options down to these four, and we can't wait to see which one will be your favourite pick!

  • Classic Ferris Wheel - a theme park trademark, standing 30m tall and holding 20 gondolas.
  • Sizzer - Spinning, suspended grasscutter ride that whips you in every direction!
  • Trihorse - A three-armed, rotating, swinging, and suspended vintage ride, raising its arms up to an angle of 40 degrees.
  • Collider - Retro sci-fi ride with 20 swinging gondolas on a horizontal Ferris Wheel that rises to an angle of 87 degrees.

We're sure Yule love this holiday update and we're looking forward to seeing your choice of ride, I’m sure it'll be a cracker!

Yes! Even though I voted for the Collider (HUSS ENTERPRISE from the description), most American parks have a Classic Ferris Wheel and not the fancy types we have in the game already! I am hoping all four (and more) eventually make it into the game, but as of right now...the Huss Enterprise (Collider) at the top of my list!

We really need that Classic Ferris Wheel though...it truly is (as Brett C said) a staple in the majority of theme parks!

Love the pun at the end. Very punny [big grin]

I retracted my vote for the Ferris wheel and opted for the sizzler instead. As mentioned above, we already have a few Ferris wheel type rides so went for a bit of ride variety instead.

Great news that more flats are coming [up]

Just to get this in there before others do, I presume this is a case of none are ready as yet but it's a case of which one gets focused on to be finished sooner.

Well i agree we can't have enough flatrides as i love them all!!

Asking us to choose is like asking who do you love more? your mom or your dad? [tongue]

Still i want to vote for Sizzer :) The game has a lot of BIG rides already, so i would love to see some more smaller, more classic looking spinning rides like the Sizzler :)

Last but not least im amazed we will get an update this soon! the game hasn't even been released for a week :D I guess you have heard this a lot lately but you guys (and girls!) are amazing!!

Collider sounds an awful lot like an Enterprise to me.

Trihorse sounds like the old ride called Tri-star at Alton towers:

And sizzler, well, sounds like a "Zig Zag" based on the description.

If what I'm conjuring up from the descriptions alone is accurate, then I vote for the Trihorse I think.

Are there rough renders of what they look like or real life examples?

Kind of hard to create a picture in my head what Sizzer,Trihorse ,Collider would look like

Frontier you are awesome! this game is just amazing, I waited for it since RCT3, Not a lot of time to play for the moment but when holidays will come...

Hmm... I think I'll vote for the sizzer. Though a toilet-ride wouldn't be such a bad thing either... [big grin]
