And may I ask what you are basing this on without any kind of information what exactly will be in the pack?

Off course you may. I think it will be a letdown since previous packs have let me down as well. Only about half the pack is actually something i can use, so i fear that it will be the same for this pack. Also studio's don't tickle my fancy

The email states in more detail what it contains and it is not difficult to read it in "glass-half-empty mode":

1. A robot-arm coaster like the Harry Potter darkride. Sounds exiting, but can be a letdown when they leave out the option to pause trains during its course or properly alter the speed in different sections. Like the Huntsman that was pretty half-arsed and cannot stop, run backwards or make sharp turns that the real-life counterparts certainly do.
2. A multi drop tower, probably like Tower of Terror. They really have to be careful not to overtheme the thing like they did with the giant spider on Huntsman vehicles.
3. The Studio tour seems to be just another transport ride, including that type's shortcomings like it not being considered exiting by the guest brain (no matter how much scenery you slap on it) and no test mode.

Besides that, the official announcement trailer contains exactly zero gameplay footage, even the music is already present in the current game. The one official screenshots contains a disturbingly small amount of actual new assets. So yeah, I'm not exploding from exitement either, and they have to show a lot more to get me cautiously optimistic.

Dazzle your guests and leave them spellbound in an aura of movie magic with the all-new Planet Coaster Studios Pack! Working behind the scenes, put on a show like no other and they'll be talking about your "talkies" for decades to come! Lights... camera... ACTION!

On March 27, 2018 we are releasing the action-packed Studios Pack for you to get creative with; our newest paid content pack is specifically catered for those who want to bring that glitzy Hollywood glamour to their park. With new props, stunts, animatronics and special effects to boot, you'll be able to breathe new life into those park centerpieces. The content pack contains three new rides: the Big Screen Tour; electrically powered tour buses that can be used as a transport or tracked ride. Re-Motion; an electrically-powered tracked ride with an adjustable robotic arm holding the seats, four points of articulation allow the seats to be moved freely in all directions! And finally, the Horror Heights; scream in terror in this classic multi-drop tower!

Set the stage and thrill your guests with new static and animated building attachments, props, vehicles, character animatronics and placeable special effects. With impressive stuntmen & women, stunt fall boxes, stunt fall dumpsters and even breaking windows, you'll be able to use to put your guests right in the middle of the action.

And, don't forget about what goes on behind the stage: new wall set, construction props and metropolis wall tiles together with Planet Coaster’s existing themes will allow you to build those far-from-glamourous... but essential backlots.

In addition to the paid content, we are releasing a small free update to all players which includes: hotels; to keep your guests sticking around for longer; eagerly awaited path tunnelling, allowing you to place a path-shaped holes in terrain; as well as triggerable flexi-colour on objects; and triggerable time of day in the ride camera - night becomes day in a flash!

The Planet Coaster Studios Pack is completely optional for you to purchase – you can get it from Steam or the Frontier Store for £7.99 ($10.99, €10.99). Please note that you need to have the Planet Coaster base game in order to download and play this extra content.

Are you ready to be in movies, kid?!

Well even not knowing exactly what's in it, and also having some very specific needs because I only do Spooky/Goth/Halloween stuff I am still excited for it. Even if I can only use 1/4 of it I will be happy. I am also excited for the Hotels and other free stuff everyone is getting. It would be impossible to release anything that would make absolutely everyone 100% satisfied. Yeah there is stuff I'd rather see but this could still be good, especially if you use your imagination and use things in novel ways.

DLC to one side, I must say I'm a little disappointed there's no new rides included in the base game update, are those Days gone now? Are all rides from now on just from DLC's? Which will be DLC Theme related.

1 new Flat ride we've had in 6mths :(

You are referring to the PAID DLC!! NoNameCity talks about the fact that there are no rides in the FREE update.

I'm not sure if I really need this DLC. There are currently too less informations about the content of this DLC. So I'll wait till the first studio tour vids are published at Youtube. ;)

I wonder if Horror Heights is like Disney's Tower of Terror or like a Space Shot/Turbo Drop?

Sad there's no new coasters, chairlifts, or flat rides (I'm heartbroken actually...) BUT... everything else sounds wonderful! I'm glad we get cars! No more empty parking lots! Ha ha!

No idea.. How hotels will actually be, But I suspect it will be something like the staff room which the guests will walk into abd you can theme? Seems the simplest solution

Quick overview of what we know is coming, screenshot and some examples of what we might be able to expect!

Like TOT. He called it Terror-something and said its a multi-drop ride.

Perhaps not, but until we get conformation to the contrary I'd imagine the addition of Hotels would have taken just as much work to get to a functional state as a new ride... Plus I'm holding out hope that at least some of the new animatronics will be part of the free update... (Not counting on free sharks, but some of the new pirates perhaps?)
