Planet Coaster Theme on Piano

I did a thing [squeeeeee]
Not sure if this counts as "community creation", but I guess this is the best place for this thread .

[video=youtube;XYkLcCA782o]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYkLcCA782o[/video]

This is the first time I tried to play something "by ear" without any sheet music [woah] (I know it's a bit boring in the left hand accompaniment ... any ideas on how to improve are greatly appreciated!)

I made a few mistakes, but this is still the best of 32 takes [squeeeeee] I hope you forgive me.
Video and sound quality are not so great, but I don't own any other camera but my phone [sad]

Please tell me what you think!

Wow! That sounds awesome! I liked it :D I listened the whole video.

I couldn't find a mistake, but that may come because I am not a pianist XD

Thank you Liz for sharing your music with us. Of course this counts as a community creation about Planet Coaster. And it's a really nice one too! [big grin]

We absolutely love how Planet Coaster inspires creativity inside and outside the game.

Keep being awesome Liz!

Thank you everybody!! [squeeeeee]

Hey Liz! Thats great! Im curious if its okay for you, when i use this as background track on my next timelapse Video on YouTube? [where is it]

Hey it's really good. But it's difficult to play the Rhythm dead notes like on guitars on the piano. Could you make a clean record and share with us. Maybe we can use it for our videos in the background :)

That's amazing! Genuinely I am very impressed! It's a pretty awkward song to get your head around with it's weird 7 and 6 beat bars [wacky]. Mistakes just show that you're human. [wink]

If I could give you any advice regarding it being a little "boring" as you said (it's not [tongue]) it would be to literally just add in some notes from the chords and be relaxed about it and don't be afraid to go a bit "freeform" with some of the left hand rhythms especially. I know it's easier said than done though [haha]. Octaves are always a good thing to add more of if you feel it is a bit weak, but I think it's very good nonetheless.

I was actually thinking about doing a piano arrangement myself but I will only upload that in the future if you don't mind me "stealing" your idea [mouth shut]. I don't want to steal any credit.

I'm already looking forward to it Gregor! [big grin]

Also, it's awesome to see, and in this case hear, what this amazing community can create. Thanks Liz, and everyone else! I really enjoy all of it. [heart]

I'm already trying to figure out how I can properly record my piano [haha] Never did that before... But it's got a MIDI line-out and two headphone jacks, there's got to be a way [squeeeeee] I'm on it!

Haha yes, counting the beats was a bit confusing [wacky] But I really like about the song that it has the same melody in 7/4 time first and in 3/4 time later (if I counted correctly [big grin]) It's fun to play!
Thank you for your advice! I was never really good in doing something "freestyle", I'm always happy if I have sheet music telling me what to do [squeeeeee] But I'll try my best.

Please do make an arrangement! I'm looking forward to that too [happy] If it helps, I could make notes of what I played and send it to you, so you don't have to start from scratch.

[up] what he said. [big grin]

+1 for the rock/metal version. I'm not so sure about Electro though [haha][haha]

Could you Record it via Midi. And then send me the midi file?

I do not own a Midi cable (yet) [sad]. sorry! Will change that as soon as possible.
I tried recording with an Aux - to - Aux line, from the headphone jack of the piano to the microphone port of my laptop, but that sounded absolutely terrible [haha] and I think it almost killed my laptop boxes [shocked] definitely won't connect those two again! [big grin]

Meanwhile, I'm writing down the notes of what I'm playing in musescore (that's a freeware sheet music program which can also play the music), but that's gonna take me a little while longer as I have to click and lay down every single note. [wacky] And I'm slow.

Thank you!

Oooh well that's a tempting offer [big grin]. Feel free to send it to me when you're finished writing it but there's no rush. [happy][wink] [tongue]

Yes, use it for whatever you like (that goes for everyone! ) [big grin] Thank you!
Now I feel really bad about the bad timing at the beginning and the keybounce mistakes that are in this video... I'm tempted to record it all again another 30 times [haha]
