Planet Coaster - Update 1.0.3 - Redeployment

Zac Antonaci

Head of Communications
Frontier
Hey guys,

As mentioned in a forum post yesterday.

We are redeploying the 1.0.3 update to address a bug which was identified that causes prolonged waiting times at start up for users with community translated languages running.

The details of the update were posted yesterday and available here.

Thanks!

Zac

Does this fix the random crash that you have to ctrl+alt+del out of which for some reason leaves the planet coaster process running (which refuses to close even through task manager)?

Rather not hunt through 6 pages for notes, I guess it's too much to ask for you to say yes or no? Why even bother replying.

Exactly my point. THERE ARE NO NOTES. Why even bother asking for help if you aren't even going to look at what Zac posted?

It's not that guy's fault Frontier didn't bother to let us know what changed. Don't get mad at him for being confused when he can't find something even a single string of text describing tangible changes.

You're right FMX. I apologize Magikarp. The answer to your question is simply that we don't know. No one knows. I should've told you that from the get go. I apologize. They didn't tell us what was fixed. I let my frustration of that boil over to you.

But, to be fair when a new patch come out they are started by a developer 1st post. No need to search beyond the 1st page. Now if no notes are attached that that's fair to ask what was fixed or not.

So is this 1.0.3.02 then? Does the 1.0.3 update no longer exist? And is there any chance that we could actually know what these updates are changing?
I understand some might be upset that their "MUST HAVE FIX" might not be included, but lack of communication leads to a bad community.

This has already been discussed. Frontier has stated it's not going to happen because of the time consuming side of it. Besides that, the 'under the hood'-fixes are of no value to us, as no one would understand what it means.
