Does it bother anyone else that you cannot crash into planets and die? I hate when I'm flying at Celeritas and smack into a planet, but only go into normal space and spin out? It's just silly. Also, the same goes for stars.

Heh, yeah. Back before we went from beta to gamma and got wiped, one of the things I tried to do was smack into a star at full speed. So I created some distance between myself and the star, turned around, and put full power to engines. I managed to get up to 200C and like it was really really fast. Very difficult to keep the star perfectly centred, but I did. As I got closer, the speed started to drop, but I was still a clean 120C before safety cut in and spun me out. Wham, instant drop and virtually no hull damage either. A bit of a shame, but oh well.
When we get planetary landings I'm sure you will be able to smash into the planets/stars at will.
You can crash into planets. Someone did a video on it too. It just takes HOURS.
Um no. Cars today have the ability to stop if the human fails to do so. So starships of the far future cant?
Flying at hundreds of times the speed of light? I think not!
