Planet dark sides - I hope they're here to stay

Was out in the SRV last night down in a crater, with a low sun angle the crater rim was fully lit but down in the crater the shadow side was dark as dark and it was great experience!

Without the SRV lights I could see almost nothing in front, but with the lights and the wavescanner 3D terrain map to guide me had a great time collecting materials.

I only wish my wife moved the damn lamp somewhere else, this collapsing sun is directly behind me and reflecting in my monitor...

It's amazing, isn't it? When I visited an Engineer with my T10 yesterday I had to carefully make my way to the landing pad, and ship lights have actually been of use. It was awesome and felt real!

Most are too dark now if you have your GAMMA settings dialed in properly. I refuse to oversaturate my display to see the surface on these dark planets.

The ship and SRV lighting needs to be increased if this is going to be the new normal. As it stands now, your ship lights do nothing to illuminate the surface until you are like 20m from hitting the ground!

Would be nice to have an optional light filter/aid equivalent to something like FLIR that we could toggle on/off.

I agree that the default setting for the lack of light should remain the same, but a choice would be rather welcome for assistance in some cases.

You tell me! I was planning to land down the rift but aborted, landed on the higher plateau and went down there with my SRV. The ship is only there because I recalled it, there's no way I would have dared flying into this, it was pitch black lol
