Planet render distance in supercrusie

Is there any way to increese it? I know that it was higher in Beta and Gamma it just shows how far away you had to be from planet to render its looks and stop being that little bloop of light.

So anyone know if they're going to increese it or even give us option to?
 
It's not really a bug but a decision they seem to have been forced into to avoid stutter. It changed during early Gamma IIRC.

Discuss it here by all means, but I think ticketing it is a waste of your time and theirs.
 
I really hope they increase this again. Atm the transition from glowing dot to the 3D model appears far too late, is far too jarring and even produces situations where you have a half transparent planet model overlaid by a glowing dot, and through everything you can see the far side of the planet's rings which shouldn't be visible because the planet is in front of it.
 
I have stutter whenever approaching planets / moons that haven't "loaded" yet. It makes approaching at 7 seconds stutter and make me overshoot. Quite frustrating. But once it loads the planets it doesn't do it when I return the next time. I think I'm going to go ticket it now too.
