Planet rotational periods help

I'm trying to decipher the rotational periods of planets. I know a period of 1 day would be 24 hours and 3 days would be three earth days but I see a lot of them with a period of -0.4 days and -4.9 days etc. Any method to calculate the actual rotation period in hours when it's a negative number?

Venus should have a negative rotation as well. Quite the odd case, as not only does it spin backwards but its "day" is longer than its year.
