Planet with very eccentric orbit

Yep, anything with an eccentricity above 0.900 is worth noting. There's a thread here in the Exploration forum compiling a few of them, but it's far from complete. Thousands of such worlds are known, but given that's out of millions of systems explored to date, finding such a system is about a one-in-a-thousand find.

You will also note that eccentricities above 0.9 also give the Orrery Map some hiccups, with the orbit going all polygonal at the apastral point.

One of my goals is to find an Earth-like planet with an orbit like that. There's only one or two such worlds known.

Cool! They're more uncommon than I thought. As soon as I sell my data I'll add it to the thread.
