Thanks for the up-to-date list. I think two more filters would be very useful in your list: continent and class (reptilia, amphibia, aves, mammalia). Both of these represent common ways that zoos are organized and I think people are interested in keeping track of the number of animals in each category.

Gibbons aren’t mentioned anywhere in the code.

It'll just be a typo, I know, but I appreciate the image of the polar bear as an exhibit animal. All that fur smooshed into that glass box

You mean there could be a little chance meerkats could be in the game? Even if not, the other animals are awesome too, I just think I would miss the meerkats a lot, because I really like them and they are a typical african animal. I don't think they could be added later, because african animals are in the release version of the game. DLCs will bring animals from other regions, so the chance would be much smaller later on. We'll see...

Where was this said? I don't think there's 0 chance of animals within pre-existing regions popping up in future DLC unless Frontier stated as much themselves.

Well, maybe. I have personal reasons why I believe they won’t be in, but so far the only animal that’s been 100% ruled out is the dodo.
