Welcome to the February Monthly Catch Up! Let's go over everything that we got up to in February as a community.

News:

Thank you to everyone who has been posting on the forums, social media and the Issue Tracker, and also for your continuous feedback and suggestions for Planet Zoo. Make sure to keep an eye on our official channels throughout March to learn more about what we have been up to recently.

Also, make sure to keep an eye out on the HyperX YouTube channel to hear a recent conversation Planet Zoo music composer JJ Ipsen had about the game. We saw some fantastic questions being asked by our PlanZo Fam, so it's sure to be an interesting video if you enjoy the soundtrack!

Tomorrow is International Polar Bear Day! Polar Bears face harsh challenges due to climate change, but everyone can always help support the climates of these creatures by reducing their own carbon footprint. What are some ways we can all have an individual impact on reducing climate change? If you have any ideas, let us know below!

To finish off, let's take a look at the Zoopedia Facts that were shared throughout February:
  • Despite being the smallest species of crocodilian, Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman can swim at speeds of 30mph!
  • Did you know that King Penguins are monogamous, only mate with one pair each breeding season and care for the chick together?
  • Diamondback Terrapins live in brackish water (areas where freshwater and seawater mix) but require visits to freshwater to avoid dehydration!
  • Polar Bears do not need to drink as they can produce water through digesting seal blubber.

Uuuhh, so it seems we will have an interesting march. :) Also looking forward to the interview with JJ Ipsen, I like to have some game insight and even after a year of hearing it often, I still enjoy the soundtrack very much.

The seal habitat reminds me a bit of Zoo Hannover, though theirs is different. Definately love the coastal vibe. I almost hear the seagulls scream ;)

I wish we had access to the trailer music from the Australia and Aquatic packs (pretty sure all the music used in the SA trailers are the same as the in-game tracks). I love the trailer music, they always do such as great job!

And on a personal note: I was in the PZ version of the zoo yesterday and you can really learn A LOT from it, building wise. So everyone, if your machine is up to it, definately do a tour.

Great round up. Going to point out again how much I enjoy the soundtrack to this game. JJ Ipsen is brilliant. Love it in game and also to listen to on its own, something I haven't done outside of a few one off tracks from other games. But this entire soundtrack is a joy to listen to.
