Planet Zoo: What’s Next?

Hey guys I thought I’d start this topic based on how quiet things have been. Not to mention the world is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic(wishing all safe btw). I think most of us are anticipating some form of news on a content drop or update in the next month or so. I still play almost everyday for at least a hour as I still enjoy the game. So what do you anticipate throughout the year? And do you still play the game often?

I still play it very often, at the moment especially to get Königsfreuden to a good progress. However, I need a DLC. If this were a wishing-thread, it would be a semi-aquatic dlc, containing otters, seals and a maritime building theme. However, IF we get something like that, it would probably more in the summer. You know, water, summer and such.

What I expect is an even longer wait for a dlc. I expect Frontier will be shut down next week, as much as anything else, due to Corona. So since I doubt the Devs can develope in home office, the whole year of DLCs will be shifted. I still hope for three to four dlcs this year, unless they decide to do a bigger one and a smaller one.

What i would like to see is a View like a Guest, you can walk around the zoo and see your creation from a Guest View. I can Marvel  at my creation lol.
I know you can spin around etc with the Camera, but it is not quite the same. So many things could be done and i appreciate the hard work. Having slower time speeds would be a big improvement, and easy to implicate into the game.

I don't play at all at the moment, too busy. And my first zoo is "finished", so I know that in order to start a new one, I need to have some decent play time, not only two hours a week or so. I have that with other games, too - at times I play excessively, then I don't touch the game for weeks or even longer. Given the joy PZ gave me, I don't expect to loose interest, even with longer breaks. I don't play very much during the summer months, for example. But again, I predict my long-term engagement to stay for quite a while, even though I priorize other things more at the moment.

I'd appreciate a DLC soon, especially now when it is likely to spend a lot more time at home than expected. If I like the content, I'll buy it.

I have a horrible habit of never finishing my zoos. But that's also because I never have a clear vision of what I want and how far I want to go. I usually just wing it. But now I'm building a zoo in sandbox, it's my city's zoo and it's so much easier to build when you have a reference (obviously).

I still play a lot, I have about 439 hours of playtime. I'm still having lots of fun with it. But yeah, I really need to start finishing my zoos.

I think it's safe to say we can expect a DLC in the next month or two. I'm more than happy to wait.

I've got a couple of projects on the go. Want to build a couple of showcase zoos that focus on a particular subset of animals, the big cats, monkeys/primates that sort of thing. Then maybe do a geographical showcase, biome showcase. And of course there are the community challenges which always give me a good excuse to build another zoo. TBH I got so many ideas I don't know where I'm going to find the time to make them all come to life.

In the meantime I'm mulling over an idea for a sandbox zoo. Can't see myself getting bored any time soon.
