Planetary Base Based SRV and SLF Racing

I think it would be cool if there were a few planetary bases (and only a few, to increase the chances that commanders would be racing against each other and not just NPCs) where you could compete in SRV and SLF "races". Commanders would have to fly to the bases, dock, and drive their SRV and/or SLF to the starting point to compete.

Each location's track could have different characteristics (dirt racing tracks, concrete racing tracks, jumps, different gravity levels, etc.), and offer different awards and leader boards.

The SLF racing could be throw valleys and mountains. I think it would be a super fun mini-game within the game.

For what it's worth there are a couple of informal race tracks out there along with old scoreboards from their when their respective events were being run that you could always have a go at (comparing your final time against the winning times).

A 26km round-trip race from the Noctrach-Ihazevich Research Facility (on AB-W B2-4 planet 9A) to the nearby alien shipwreck and back.
Winning times (although these were quite incredible!) around the 7min mark (expect it to take more like 15)

This is a pretty long race around a fairly large and complex circuit. It was run as a live event so I don't think there's any record of the final times for this. It's a really brilliant course once you've learned it tho (probably one of the best) and I'd thoroughly recommend giving it a try.

Also good in the SLF too!

We really need a facility for SRV / SLF racing. It could also be done in some canyon with marks on the wall and floor.
Some planets could be elected specially for that and modified to better suit racing (canyon, rocks, cliff...).

In SRV facility there should be some laser protection like in station to shoot any commanders that use their weapons.

It would be wonderfull to have that in game.

Quick reminder that the latest Buckyball race (see my signature) feaures a 50km SRV course (current winning times around the 12 minute mark).
