Horizons planetary co-ordinates

The Trade Computer Extension Mk.II app could guide you to an already stored location on a planet.
It contains of a minimap and planetary map and you are also able to add locations with lat/long coordinates, you had not visited before.

Also the E.D.I.S.O.N app will nicely direct you to a location on a planet.

Try it out.

There was a picture somewhere:
if you are at e.g. -xx +yy looking for +xx +yy you should go to e.g. NE or wherever...

Help?

Once you figure out the tiny little numbers at the bottom R of the planetary HUD are coordinates, and that the system is set up like longitude and latitude with the grid at mutual right angles, you can easily follow one bearing to the first coordinate, turn +-90deg and follow the other until you hit your target numbers. It's trickier to fly/drive along vectors that don't use the 0/180 or 90/270 bearings, but after a while you get the hang of it.

Thank you Commanders for all the great responses. I think what it comes down to at the moment (without the use of an outside computation source) is personal method.

I shall endeavor to make all my practice (at this particular task) pay off and have it eventually become rote as everything else in this beautiful game does.

By for now....;)
