Your avatar is simply ejected out of the FC, given the high tidal forces between the two colliding planets. I am having to move the FC to the next planet, to avoid such issues. To make a ship land on teh FC, with current tidal forces, only with FA off, and tons of patience.

Too bad I didn't have my helmet on... :)

I will have to dig through my notes but I found a system about 15k from the bubble where two K class stars were on probable collision path, but the math I had worked up real fast showed it wouldn't be for another 3,000+ days. I tend to get into an autopilot in the black and forget to actually look at the orbital paths of bodies after a while

FC ride back to the bubble
