Planetary Landing is broken?

I really dont understans that link lol.

I am driving around aimlessly because the blotchy scanner doesn't seem to help point me in any direction. By complete chance I happen to have found three rocks to destroy. Frankly, I never even heard a noise indicating I was going the right way. Is there a way to tell from a good distance that I am heading toward a destructible rock?

My really old guide is still valid , so look at that part of it (HOW TO USE THE SCANNER)

Wow! That guide is amazing and terrifying. I didn't realize the srv had fuel, nor that I could turn off the shields (gonna have to figure out how next). Thankfully I at least now know that I've been heading toward the wrong kind of lines on thr scanner. I generally get how to use it, but I drove around a lot last night and am wondering if certain bodies just wont have much to find.

One question I have is if the blue circle when still in your ship only means things like a wreck or turret are there, or if it can also mean materials?

Various things with different sizes. A huge one that shrinks to a point indicates either a resource rocks or mats associated with biology, both of which provide materials, the biology a lot. Tiny ones that don't change size, indicate mats near vulcanism, that also provides a lot of mats. Medium sized that shrink a bit indicates surface mining installation that you can blow up to get stuff. Medium ones that grow a bit indicates crashed ships or surface beacons, both of which can provide mats of various kinds. Large ones that don't change size indicate small bases or installations. Most of these are instanced but the huge ones that shrink are permanent POI markers that will reappear in the same spot.

Have fun.
