Planetary Landing unwelcome consequence

Hi you all,
I've been enjoying ED since release, been doing a bit of trading (tiny bit) bit of smuggling (tiny bit) and a bit of bounty hunting too…
Although my favorite thing in the game so far is simply docking and undocking from stations, I found my big love in exploration (go figure… it's not like there are many place to dock at out there). My first trip was cut short from taking off with a stock FSD and a bit of inexperience, and my second trip took me were I am now, on my way back from Sagittarius A*, after nearly 2 months in the deep…
I know I will be making the most of civilized space once back in the bubble, and I also know I will probably be heading out for several short exploration trips. But the one thing I know for sure is that once Planetary Landing hits, I'll be gone for good… star trek style… the final frontier, you get the gist…

So my question is this: Am I the only one who consider leaving colonized space for ever after we reach this (faraway) milestone? And if not, will this new fantastic feature not somehow depopulate "populated" space?

edit: I basically understand why some might be reluctant to the explorer profession (i.e. jump - super cruise - scan - repeat) but that might drastically change…

I honestly see very little reason to return to populated space NOW. My ASP is large...an apartment in space. Food replicators... holodeck...I'm set. I fly conservatively... been gone over a month and am still at 100% hull and 100% modules. Presumably, I could remain outside The Bubble indefinitely if I chose to.

Same here, if it wasn't for (mentioned earlier) the docking/undocking procedure.
I'm just saying if only I could get my "fix" while landing on any given planet… that would be me out of here, for good.

Well...I don't know about you, but I'm pretty interested to see how they intend to develop Earth, Mars and of course other populated worlds. ;)

This won't be in the first version of planetary landings though, but things like potential mining mechanics down on planets still makes sense to do close to civilized space.

No, clearly No!
i mean, i dont want to miss the fame when i come back and all those gurls who want to cling to my arms get a piece of that fame. GURLS! i say it again :)

I know there is about a thousand years separating us from what we know of what Earth (and Mars… blue???) will be in ED universe… It will still be the good 'ol Earth!
200 billions star systems… for how many planets to land on… I think many will quickly say "Earth? been there, done that, got the T-shirt" (hopefully some will spend just months/years just messing about there) But really? It would be the equivalent of hanging out in LHS 3447 after 6 months of gameplay.

The "girls" will still be there on your return…
… but the "gurls" might take you to travel a bit further out to be found ;)
