Planetary Maps

Given how much trouble the developers have gone into creating a 3D galaxy map and accurate observable galaxy from the cockpit, it's kind of a let-down that Planetary Maps are shown inside a generic "black with stars" background that is the same for all planets. It's understandable that the System Maps use the same background image, they're 2D and harder to render against the galaxy, but it would be nice to see Planetary Maps with accurate galaxy backgrounds, perhaps with local stars/planets/moons slightly out of focus, to give more immersion, as they're quite bland and could do with more detail.

That's not a very optimistic view. I think, if a screen suddenly changes from plain black with stars to showing the galaxy in the background, everyone will notice.

I don't think it'd be a lot of work either, since we can already see planets in their place in the galaxy when cruising round them, it's just a matter of merging things which already exist for a polished result.
