Seeing as FD have the ability to apply bump maps to planet surfaces to make the Guardian ruins:
It would be really fun to see some huge open cast/strip mining going on on the metal rich planets:
This would be much more impressive than what we see currently which are various sizes of lazers blasting at the ground.
It would be great to see what sort of futuristic mining machine behemoths FD's talented art and design team could come up with.
