I had this idea from a current bug that does not place the rocks correctly on the ground.

Planetary Phenomena: local magnetic fields detected as gravitational anomalies from the DSS.
BASIC GAMEPLAY
It requires the players to analyze the magnetic field. The player walk (so Odyssey gameplay) under the rocks and analyze the magnetic field with a tool. He gets some information concerning the data and the extension of the magnetic field.
ADVANCED GAMEPLAY
Gameplay mechanics similar to the sub-surface missiles (borrowed from mining gameplay)
The player needs to walk inside the magnetic field (SRV and SHIPS are damaged inside the magnetic field) and place a probe on the ground. Then the minigame starts and the probe goes underground. If the minigame succeed the player gets the data concerning the phenomena and planetary core details.
