Planetary scan job - no target body

Hi,

Just attempting a planetary scan job mission, however when I enter the system, I get message but with no target body info.

I've dropped out to scan the beacon but nothing happens, I've hooked, and tried searching with the but dont know if that would indicate anything.
On the local system map or panel, is there an icon which should indicate where this is?

Scanning the local navigation beacon ought to both send you another message in your inbox with the name of the target body and also highlight that body in the navigation panel. Are you sure you let the navigation beacon scan complete? it takes a while. Also, when you drop at the navigation beacon the beacon itself has to be targetted in the contacts panel and you have to get close to scan it as it's different from the general nav beacon signal you loocked onto from supercruise.

Ah, looks like it might have been a bug, I'd sat right infront of a beacon with it selected and it did nothing. Logged off then back on and it started scanning.

To be more specific, I'd taken 3 scan missions, the first one I'd dropped to beacon, got close enough to scan but nothing happened. Went to a second system, did the same but the same thing occurred. I logged to main menu then straight back in but no change.

I then logged off, went away for a couple of hours, posted this question, and when I got back, i went back to the beacon and it started scanning. Completed the mission and noticed that the first system I tried was highlighted blue in the nav panel, and when I jumped there, the target was already highlighted. Definate bug it seems. Will add it to the issue tracker.

Thanks for your help though, thought I was missing something like a new icon in the nav panel.
