Just had an idea regarding planetary scan missions..
What if you could do these, and maybe have a timed air/ground support mission could pop up.. (say 10 mins or so.. If you survive get a nice payout/bonus mats etc)
i.e. Protect scanned base from several waves of air/ground threats or similar.. dunno how easy this would be to implement tho...
