Planetary Scan Missions: Things that are handy to know.

Been trying a few of the planetary scan missions, and noticed a few things worth noting as they are not obvious things that jump out at you straight away.

1: You need to go to the NAV beacon, and scan it, to find the location info. I could not seem to get this using the FSS (note the mission brief still mentions discovery scanner, and not FSS)

2: The search locations move about whilst you are in supercruise and also in glide mode as you approach. They move a good 100km+ so a fast ship is handy if you are in glide mode when this happens, or you will be looking to jump out and back in to get there in a reasonable time. Once you are out of glide, they jump the standard 10km or so like they used to.

3 Scan the thing in BLUE mode on the SRV. If you scan in combat mode it reads data but does not complete the mission. This is something I found the hard way lol.

Other than that, they running well.

Came here to see if anyone else has these issues.

I’m going to assume the discovery scanner issue and the objectives moving while gliding are bugs because these are not gameplay friendly mechanics.

I've noticed the first 2 but as I usually scan the data point from my ship without landing the SRV I didn't know about the last one.

Good to know.
