Trying to work my way through the engineers. At Davy Dock and trying the planetary scan - search building. I come into orbit, have the target selected, perfect entry and for no reason the target moves. Go back into space, get target lock, come back into the planet surface and the target has moved again. Is this a bug?

Its how its always worked afaik. Just keep realigning and after 2 or 3 times it finds the actual location.
Yeah, this used to work better. It used to scale the distance better to supercruise or local space so you could find it in a reasonable amount of time. Now it doesn't update until you get too close to use cruise but it's still at cruise distances so you have to constantly renter cruise to narrow down the search zone. It's annoying as.
