Planetary Search And Rescue mission bug - premature timeout

Planetary Search And Rescue missions time out early - this one timed out as soon as the clock hit 1hr 30mins remaining
I am in Australia so my system clock is set to UTC+10:00 if that helps

I had something similar with a Cut the Power mission recently, but I was wondering if other commanders might be destroying the same generator... in your case it's a bit harder to figure if other commanders are picking up occupied escape pods since there are always dozens lying around when you accept such a mission...
 
Known bug mate, sometimes it does fail as you move away from the poi or base, but you can still collect escape pods usually and stack them to return later. Just remember to exit back to landing bay in station if rep farming otherwise it won't register your addition to rep.
 
yeah i've been taking non-empire pod retrieval missions to trigger the pods to spawn on the surface, then fulfilling the empire ones as they pop up.
Please tell me what you mean by "exit back to landing bay in station" - I definitely don't want to lose any hard-earned rep or rank!!
Apparently v2.1 will overhaul missions entirely so we will all just have to wait until May. Or was it June. Probably July. :)
 
Ok basically complete one pilot mission exit back to station screen where you can select bulletin board or launch, then select bulletin board, complete mission exit back to station again and so on.

Seems to be a bug that if you stack them and hand them all in at the same time you don't gain the max rep possible.

gotcha thanks. i complete them as soon as i accept them with the pods i already have on board... but i'll do it your way just in cawse the bug still applies
