Planets missing from Solar System

Hello,
in my group someone is reporting a bug where there are several bodys missing from a system.
are you awere of this?
is it a comon bug latley with Odyssey?

System: NANDHRIMPO

Thank you!

Its a know bug. Happen if you die but don't sold the universall cartographic data before, some planets become hidden again but the game don't enable FSSS or nav beacon scan.

If you see Fleet Carriers linked to NOTHING, try to approach them. Your short range scanners will fix this hole.

If you don't have any info, you can use the bright points that move from the background, and fly here. If a bright point move, isn't the background, is some body inside the system. or use a friend or wing member that don't have this bug. Remember to sell this data before your next death, that how you make a permanent addition to your galaxy map and list of bodies.

Nope
There are no bodies missing - who reported that need to make sure they fully FSS-ed the system and if they did it, they didn't die before selling the exploration data for the said system

Bug?
IF you die before selling the data, you lose the exploration data for that system and you do need to FSS the system again. No bug here, this is how things work

Thank you verry much!!
sounds buggy to me…
Im a console player and never encounter this.. sistems inside the bubble are always visible… if its not a bug then why did he see the planets on his first visit during the mission?
he died retriving a black box

I had problems when FSSS don't show the planets.

Jameson crash site is a popular place for this bug, the problem is when the system don't have close FC as target.
The game don't remove all the exploration data, but also prevent FSSS the same bodies again.
CMDR Peke86 don't show a pic, but this rare bug exist and could be related.

You are in Legacy version, nothing related to Live or Odyssey DLC or engine. What happen in Live is irrelevant for you, because no more updates or content, is a different galaxy.
The bug existed in the old Horizons 3.8 that you play now, so my answer is relevant to your problem.

That first reedit case, it looks like they were not able to completely load the system data.
The second case was a case of: goddammit, i forgot i have to fss the system (sure, the sysmap should have listed it, so it could also be a case of network issues since it appeared following a FSS)
The third case was a case of missing/corrupted files, they solved it by reinstalling the game

However, what you listed is not a bug.
I wouldn't even call it a bug, more like there are local issues since Network connection issues and corrupted files and not exactly game bugs

Ok, its a glitch or at least a problem to affect some activity. In any case, is something that don't need to exist in a working game.
Solution is easier if you approach the body until short range scanner star working, using close FC or visual navigation. Like the old pre-FSSS game when you need to fly to each body.

Reinstal the whole game need a lot of time.

Yes - except that any inhabited system will either be on the "shared exploration data" register or high-population enough to start out auto-discovered.

You might lose information about what the planets are but you should still be able to see them on the map and radar just as you would if you jumped into a new-to-you previously explored system.

And it seems to only be a case of "a few planets in the system goes missing" rather than the entire system data: the gap is visible and obvious on the map from the planets you can see - sure, it's possible that someone scanned all but one planet, sold that data, came back to scan the remaining one, forgot they hadn't sold that, died, and then it was missing when they came back again ... but it seems to come up a lot for such a convoluted sequence of events.

It's obviously not going to be fixed - it's not a bug in the Frontier Issue Tracker sense, and if any veteran players were going to spend time turning it into one they'd have done so by now - so workarounds are all that can be advised, of course.

It's a bug in the sense that dying (without selling the carto data, obviously) can set the system to a "greater" unexplored state than if you'd never visited it.

It's almost certainly the rebuy procedure in the game saying "oh you have unsold data for this location, let's get rid of that and set it to hidden+unexplored" even though the initial state was discovered (due to being a system in/near populated space).

Maybe they went wandering like these "JuMBOs":

(Yes I know they don't know if they have wandered from solar systems but, hey, it's the internet innit.)

;)
