I have been running around a few thousand light years from Sol and have just been enjoying the sights. I'm taking a trip to the edge of the Galaxy but i'm only traveling a thousand light years per day and taking my time. In doing so I have seen many things, the galaxy is full of some wonderful places. These are just some images from the first few days. Feel free to share any amazing photos you have taken.

On your way to the galactic edge make sure you write down, or otherwise record your route. It's easy to get turned around out there. I spent the better part of a week trying to get back after making it to the edge. Good luck.

I wished we had bookmarks on my trip out to the edge. I used notepad (windows) to record all my <1000ly targets which I learned later for my return trip home was a good move.

Or even easier if you went on a straight route, use the "visited" filter in the galaxy map.
