Plasma accelarator bug?

I've encountered a weird bug, I fired 4( 2 large 2 mediem) plasma accelarators at a python and was targeting no modules, however I had just pressed the side panel to view the power plant before I fired and the power plant said 42%

However the ship then exploded while it still had 42% power plant on screen, I also saw life support was at 100%

Anyone know what could have happened?

Yeah was at about 60% which is why I was confused

i expected someting like "i scored a direct hit but it dealt no damage"

they do massive splash damage meaning your damaging all his systems. sounds like the canopy gave out.

For NPCs it is. It pretty much makes them auto self destruct for some reason.
