Ship Builds & Load Outs Plasma hammer! Plasma slug based weaponry.

I posted this along time ago in a different thread. But I am finally playing the game and am grinding engineers for to working up money for various high end ships. How bad is this? It's a pure killing ship meant to take out known targets. maybe for power play where I assume I don't need to identify targets as much. Is this bad or do you really need the prismatic shields. It's also a general purpose bounty hunting ship. Hopefully useful for collecting mats and money. I have improved it a bit in some areas like fire time. I did reduce the shields heavily though. It used to have around 30k effective shields or more just in thermal and a lot more in explosive and kinetic. But I reduced it down for cost and to refocus on different things. I think it used to have 11 minutes of shield time. I'll have to find the old thread and see if I can recover the build.

Plasma Hammer!

This will be one of my long term goals for experimentation. And hopefully a grinding ship. I also want to make a mining cutter for grinding mats.

No offence, but have you ever flown a Cutter? With that build and all fixed weapons I reckon you'd be easy prey against anyone in a medium sized PvP ship.
 
I was hoping a liberal use of boosters would help(or making them stupidly fly into mines as I, "run away"). Haven't found sufficient info on how to tell how much you get or need for boost as far as the engine energy bar goes.

Here is a slightly updated version. I changed out plasma slug on the imperial hammers for super penetrator. This makes my fuel last longer. I also added a second reverb mine launcher. That should give longer fire times for the none min weapons if I need to try to punish some shields or be lazy. I'm also planning on using the 30% damage bonus. Part of the point of plasma slug was to make that bonus last as long as possible. Hence I gave up super penetrator for plasma slug for a 30% bonus. Minus the 10% loss from plasma slugs.

This ship would revolve around reverb mine laying tactics or trying to outdo them damage wise if possible. It would also be using the chaff using plasma repeater plane to give extra defence against lasers.

That military composite saves a lot of money for doing the same or better job. Unless there is some other aspect of it I'm missing.
