New forum. Updated version of my plasma hammer. I'm actually close to building this.... 8\


This is the 4xHammer version. I thought it could not sustain the heat but it can up to around .56 efficiency(assuming I'm correct about heat). It's more of an energy problem. The only thing better on this would be a long ranged or focused /w plasma slug versions.

It has the potential for 500dps.

It will have a 1E long ranged FSD Interdictor when the new slot is available! ;p

1xhuge - 4A Efficient, Plasma slug; Plasma Accelerator
2xlarge - 3B Efficient, Plasma slug; Advanced Plasma Accelerators.
4xmedium - 2B High Capacity, Plasma Slug; Imperial Hammers

2880 Shield with res up to 11/13/13%
2887 hull with res up to 67/65/65%

Can do around 2k dps in 4 seconds with all weapons. The weapons damage should already have premium ammo applied.

Only has 64 tons of fuel. Other version I did replaced some hull for a 64t tank of fuel. It still has around 4 minutes of fire time with full hammer fire if I'm not mistaken. Assuming each shot consumes 0.022t of fuel. Don't know where I got that number from though. If not I got some thinking to do.

It should be able to sustain the heat and energy to some extent. If the cutter does 42 ish heat dissipation per second at 66% this should be below even with full weapons fire. Although I don't know how much the weapons capacitor can mess with this. I have not done enough combat heat testing yet.

Has anyone played with a cutter with 4x imperial hammers before?! Can it support the heat in this setup like I think it can?

I was hoping it spread out the bullets to hit more internals. Do Imperial hammers hit other internals on the way to the target without super penetrator? I was seeing back and forth info on this.

Either way, isn't there subtle correction on fixed weapons to help aim at internals once the shields are down?

It might also help to pepper external modules after shield loss.

I think you'll miss entirely more often than not.

And no, superpen has to be added for that effect.
Fixed weapos have microgimballing but that works with shields up too, and it's only subtle.
It won't bring rails to the center from the nacelles.
