Yeah I dunno. A FAS with all PA's is the most enjoyable ship/load out I've used in pvp so far.
You wanna try something really fun though, build a bi-weave hull tank clipper with gimballed frags and just ram the crap out of everyone. It's a blast.

I wreck FDL's in my FAS all day, I've seen many Kraits absolutely dominate in pvp and many of my fellow DRTY Co will tear you apart in Chieftains.
Sounds like a quitters attitude to me.
Do you want to fight my FDL? I will push you ship in so far you won't want to fly that FAS again.

But tbh plasmas being boring is strange, to me multis get boring after a while. A full plasma hit is satisfying

I'm sure you will. Doesn't mean the FDL is fantastic, just means you're probably a better pilot than myself.
Also I'm on Xbox and my GT is AP Birdman o7

I'm not an elite pilot, I'm mediocre at best. He didn't fight anyone he just came into our discord like a fool and got the boot.
I wish this game had cross play so we all had more people to fight.
I'm sure there are many FDL pilots that could beat me and my boys but my point is that it all comes down to the pilot and how good their build is.
The idea that you can only win in a FDL is a foolish one. FDL's have their weaknesses just like any other ship in elite.

I agree. Same goes for the FAS too though. Every ship has its weakness
Like you said in the end it all comes down to pilot skill. For instance you might fight me in a FDL and win easily, then rematch me in a chief and I win. Everyone has their preference.

Exactly. I wasn't saying that FAS is the best ship in the game but the OP is acting like unless you're in a FDL you're gonna lose when the fact of the matter is that all it take is a couple of solid rams from a FAS, Krait, Chieftain or even a Clipper and you're done.
Ive watched SDC run circles around everyone using FAS's and Chieftains, even FDS's.
It all comes down to the skill of the pilot.
