Platform Under attack

Wouldnt it be cool with there was a small chance that the smaller platforms and hubs etc could come under attack (Pirates? Thargoids?) while your docked there. Then they could request your aid in fighting off the attack for a fee (of course).

I can image a situation where your doing your usual delivering missions or browsing the commodies when a Klaxon starts up. [Incoming message...]

"CMDR The station has come under attack. Can you help us? I have be authorised to offer payment for you aid. Please CMDR we have families here on the station...."


Or does this already happen?

it does happen to some extend.

if you have a civil war with two factions owning a station, system security of the other faction will attack those stations. they will get wannted and you can killsteal from the station. fun to do it with an eagle around an outpost!

Still wouldnt see a more personlized approach tho...

I like the "we have families here on the station" comment. I can imagine even the most hardened PvPer sitting at his console/ computer thinking "....welll.....     . This better be worth the creds" <ACCEPT> Ok. weapons free.
Station : (maybe a relived sign in here?) "Thank you CMDR...."



OHHHHH AND
Perhaps a trigger of if the fight isnt going well for the stations defenders (could be more than one player inb the station). [Incomming message] "CMDR, This is Captain (,Duke or whatever depending on factions) we are inbound. Help is one the way. Try to hold them off for a few more seconds"
