Has anyone ever seen this commodity in stock at a station? or does it come from mining? or both... I'm hoping mining as I'd love to venture out and find some

Only time I have seen it is when raiding a transport ship in anarchy space. I'm sure it's out there...somewhere.

Only comes from mining, so hope your mining turns out profitable! EDIT - except when found as loot etc, aye, per the previous posted. Is never seen for sale, that I am aware of, though.

Not sure about platinum. I made most of my credits trading palladium bought from a station out on the edge of civilized space. I logged dozens of markets out that way. I'm at work today, but when I get home I'll check my notes, but pretty sure I've seen platinum for sale at one of them,

EDIT: My apologies, after searching thru 20 extraction and refinery systems, I could find no platinum for sell at any of them. Lots of good prices to buy it though.
