"Play Demo" and Support threads are no help

I just bought the game off G2A, I got the ED standalone and the Horizons Pass. I created my accounts, linked my steam, and nothing
When I log in through steam on the Launcher, it still says play demo when I obviously have the game.
When I log in the other way, it tells me I need to redeem/buy the game. On Frontier, it says I only have the Season pass on my account, yet there's no way to get the actual game on it.
Before you start to link the generic help threads by Frontier, save your fingers and don't.. I've read through them all, logging out, uninstalling, deleting data, restarting my PC. Nothing works here. Is there any real advice you people can give or am I just f'd for 3 days until Support decides to open my ticket?
 
other than using the log of machine function in the launcher options tab not really no
as I bought direct and login direct from the site below i didn't even bother linking to steam which is in fact just another third party seller that does not host this game

Honestly I thought about just buying it direct, but I don't want to buy it and have the same stuff happen, knowing my luck. I kind of wasted the day trying to figure it all out. Tomorrow I might just buy direct and go from there and hopefully that works out for me.. I really enjoy how this game looks and Ive studied it for a while, but all this kind of turned me off.
 
tried a different browser? I thought json errors are browser related
try internet options in control panel and reset everything to default

Unless you're absolutely gagging to get going, I'd wait for support mate. The three days is usually the longest they'll take to respond, I've had a response much faster than that from them and they're usually superb.

I kind of get excited when I play new games. Kind of like back in the day when you'd get home from buying the newest released game at GameStop. So I was really looking forward to spending my days off jamming out and playing ED. Now I'm just upset I wasted a day sorting out a fix that hasn't revealed itself to me.

Oh yeah, if you are absolutely gagging to get going that's fine by me. I know that feeling well.
 
strange that you cant even shop the only thing I can think of now is temporarily disabling anti virus and fire wall just to rule them out
atm in the launcher bottom left is there no option to install the base game elite dangerous?

Disabled anti virus and pop up blocker. Same thing. No option to install ED. On the launcher, the only options I have are Log In - Steam Log In - Play Demo. Log in just tells me to redeem/purchase the game, Steam Log In only shows Play Demo. I'm going to give the website another shot tomorrow morning to see if it still won't let me buy it through Frontier. Until then, I downloaded Eve Online to kind of sustain my space needs for now, I'm not happy about it, but its something until this issues resolved.
 
did you create a support ticket you should get an auto confirmation email that your request for assistance has been received almost immediately
what I find odd is you can send a support ticket ok but not access the shop
any hoot hope they sort you out soon

1. I just went through the purchase sequence for Elite Dangerous Commander Edition on frontierstore.net:


.. it went through all steps seamlessly. I used Firefox.

2. The place where you see "Log In - Steam Log In - Play Demo" - really looks like the situation in the FAQ:

where step 2 says " If you purchased the game content you are trying to access via Steam after 25th April 2019, select Steam Log In (red arrow...)"

Well, I got a ticket response apparently. I was confused as to why my game just wouldn't work.

Apparently, buying third party is a bad idea on this game. Commander Luna (CSR), told me that I had a Humble key, Humble being a previous trusted seller of Elite: Dangerous.

The keys that all of these resellers have are old Humble keys that were pulled as they were faulty. ONLY Humble have ever been authorised to sell these. Retailers such as G2A, Kinguin, Instant Gaming etc. do not have our permission to sell our products at all and we receive no money from such sales.

Being that my game key was apparently an outdated one, and basically faulty, Commander Luna was generous enough to fix my game access this morning.

I appreciated the help from @Para Handy @Red Anders and @STRONTIUM DOG . Aside from our methods not working, it still provides a liable path for anyone with a related issue. As for the weird reason I couldn't buy the game through Frontier's website, we may never know, maybe it was just a coincidental server issue on their end.
