I'll bet it'll be a bit of a pain to get to run unless you have the right tools / emulators.

You useca program called dosbox, its quite easy but a bit funky if you only ever used OS with a graphical UI.

IIRC the Original Elite 1984 is a free download from the store,
runs in its own emulator and has a pre-saved game if you want to try it with a decent amount of cash.
If you want to try it on PC its worth a look see what all us old timers have been going on about.

I got it at the same time when I bought Horizons, had a look for old times sake, but havent played it since.

Yes the free version of '84 Elite to download from the Frontier store is the BBC B version and it includes the BeebEm emulator to run it in and a scanned manual in PDF format.

There's even a whole sub-forum here for discussing the original Elite and Frontier games if anyone hasn't found it...
