player command of capital ships

Of course, there is little functionality at the moment, but in a game with friends, each jump of the carrier is accompanied by the phrase "Engage!". The guys even tried to play some kind of roleplay, land on planets, collect tritium, it was fun.

It would be nice if the developers allowed us to finally get citizenship of the Federation / Empire / Alliance, and not just be mercenaries, and join the Federation/Imperial/Alliance fleet, with the ability to command a capital ship. Earlier we already wrote about the desire to have such an opportunity, but the gameplay itself was not clear, how it would look like, and how the capital ship would move. With the release of Odyssey, there are now many possibilities and ideas on how to implement such gameplay.

as one idea: there is a gradation of promotion on such a ship, up to the commander/admiral (possibly tied to the rank of the fleet). Each rank opens up more opportunities, bonuses and options. The ability to customize the ship at a special shipyard for some tasks, such as combat, diplomatic, anti-alien, landing operation or boarding, evacuation from stations, etc. Of course, such a ship should see such events on the galactic and system map. management of a capital ship (armament) in an instance, priority targets, targets for different squadrons of fighters or escort ships, shuttles, it is possible to transfer some kind of buffs for allied ships, etc.

also, ships can be used as a tool for minor factions and power play, for example, giving such an ability... for example, finding such a ship in the system, each daily cycle gives + 5% to security in the system or some influence of the main faction, such a tool can be used to organize different states of minor factions depending on the setting of the capital ship

of course, there are huge opportunities for multicrew. when your friend or teammate enters the conflict zone, turns on the fleet aid beacon, and a capital ship (you) jumps towards it, etc

of course customization, from appearance, coloring, additional emblems, to the appearance of command personnel, pilots and troops

all this is just a separate layer of micromanaged gameplay that can be given to both Horizon and Odyssey owners. There will be a need to attack and force such ships to retreat from their systems in power play and BGS, so there will be conflicts of influence and interests, which will give additional gameplay for guys who do routine work every week

this is our proposal for the developer, оf course, there are a lot of things you can think of and add something else, there are many options and ideas, but the key is to enable the player to command the capital ship
