I dont know if this has been talked about at all bur i was wanting to suggest that allowing players to build their own base in space or on an uninhabited planet might get you more people interested in the game. I myself would love to be able to make my own outpost to lock down in and be able to trade from to generate some income. Doesn't have to be a huge fancy base or station just something a player could manage by himself or make it bigger to support player groups that are not large enough to form their own faction. Just a suggestion.

Its been talked about a lot. So far FD have not said this is in their plans. A long time ago in one of the dev diaries they mentioned something about small "inflatable" bases for mining. But that's about all we ever heard.
