Player-driven narrative

There's been a lot of stuff in Galnet lately about trouble within in the Empire. Now I'm not here to tell people how to play the game, all I'm saying is that if it were to somehow happen that a lot of Empire-aligned systems were to suddenly erupt in civil war, well, that would be emergent gameplay now wouldn't it.

Not that I would in any way condone Federal and Alliance pilots performing any sneaky and underhanded BGS manipulations.

This is a good idea and definitely "emergent content" however what happens in game has zero influence on Galnet.

If it did most of the Powers would have been deposed and the Alliance would generate more headlines.

I no longer believe in "emergent gameplay" in ED. Not since the repetitive Hand of FD God BGS "adjustments' and the Gnosis affair.
Enough disappointments, thank you.
Enjoying that in Dual Universe, though.

The Nova Imperium minor faction Fdev put into Paresa is that. Which means we can't just stomp it out of existence like with Emperor's Dawn, they're here to stay I guess.

Also half the bubble has been in both kinds of war

Note they did the same with the League of Reparation too, and when they were defeated they were removed from the game.[1]

Personally, players should get behind Nova Imperium. People complain there's nothing to do, and yeah, a good large scale civil war would do just that. They're in an election right now and could win assets if victorious.

That said, people could've also done that with the League despite the one-sided cg that resulted. But too many people were basically too interested in status-quo grinding for credits to bother making a difference.

[1] it's pretty blatantly obvious that this will just become yet-another- conflict-cg... but for the love of god FD. Don't wreck it with a one sided CG like you did with the LoR

Science experiment: create a squadron, align it to Nova Imperium, see what happens to the squadron after they're defeated and removed?
