Player notes on the map

Hi,

I was thinking about a feature FDEV could add to either the galaxy map or the system map, and that is to allow players to add small text notes to systems to remind them of discoveries they make. Here are a few examples:

"Gold here"
"These guys always buy tobacco"
"3rd outpost is pirate"
etc.

I'm thinking the easiest way to implement this would be creating a new section down in the Info tab, in the galaxy map view left side panel. Once a system is selected, the player can see and write new notes there.

Of course, this would be low(est) priority. Thoughts? Useful or useless?

posted the same idea a few days ago, still think it's a great one. There's just to much to keep track of not to have something like this.


I currently use excel to try and keep track of the systems but I'd much prefer to do it all in game.
