Player Profile?

Hello. Is there a place (On the internet or in the game) Where you can look up player statistics? For example if i see someone in-game and want to learn more about him.

Basically what i am looking for is something like a player profile page with statistics personal to the player. Is there something like that? If not, shouldnt there be?

Not much info there, I wish they would give us some tools that are outside the game. Like a:
galactic map,
a view of my ship(s)
inventory,
past trade history from planets I and my friends visited

The list could go on and on.. Who knows maybe int eh future but for some reason we are not privy to any real future goals and have little influence on what upgrades get put into the game. But they sure like our money but who wouldn't. If people and companies had to keep promises career politicians would be out of a job.

No there isn't anything like that. There is this: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=23854 Which is a role-play introduction to your character persona, but nothing like a public listing of player statistics. It's not really that sort of game.

There is an API in development currently for individual player stats. It a bit off release yet by all accounts. There is a thread somewhere discussing it. Tbh the only other player stat that is relevant in game too you is the pilot rank and wanted status and that is shown on a standard scan and thats only relevant upon a combat engagement. All the rest is irrelevant. But the API by all accounts will give other data too.

I hope that any system offered, through FD or third-party, that shares personal player statistics, is OPT-IN ONLY. I have no objection to the idea of people using such data for themselves, but I do not care for sharing away any details of mine, covering my game time, experience or anything else at all to anyone other than official FD employees for internal use. I would protest in the strongest possible terms to any use of personal data without my consent.
