The Elite Dangerous galaxy is insanely large, so many systems are unoccupied and unsettled, while this is a great game I must say it lacks in meaningful content, you work hard towards the ship you want you finally get it and then... well what do you do next? I believe players should be able to join forces and form factions, faction members should be able to dedicate a certain amount of their income towards faction projects (ex. building a new small station in a system) from this station you should be able to hire ai traders that automatically earn faction income for larger projects (ex. large station, maybe even player owned capital ships that can be sent to other systems or possibly even flown and manned by players themselves using the multi-crew feature.) There will never be a lack of systems in Elite Dangerous and once a faction becomes more developed they can even expand to neighboring systems, factions could also have their own ai security forces and navies used to combat other factions. (Factions could have power levels so larger factions can't completely destroy smaller ones and home systems could be permit locked) I believe Elite Dangerous is lacking in the PvP and multiplayer aspect, sure there's multiplayer but what do you really do? Fly for a couple hours, interdict someone, kill them and move on? Factions would take Elite Dangerous to a whole new level of meaningful goals, PvP and multiplayer, I guarantee I would never be bored. Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?
