Player to Player Contracts

Hey FD, and all you lovely commanders! Lately, I've been giving missions to people at Hencke orbital in return for items I need from dangerous zones, and pay them for it. I'm in a big, fat Type 6 with no real weapons, only Point Defense, so I give 1 Imperial slave per mission, and I'm thinking of giving 2. Also, I have one friend who likes to get revenge on those who killed him in the Capital Ship zones, even when outside of them. When he tells me of them, I warn them and put a "bounty" on his head (2 Imperial Slaves). I'd like this to be an official part of the game, without bounty contracts because of potential griefing. because, maybe you're just lazy and don't want to go to the zones, or can't, and another player will happily do so? Maybe I can be generous to those Sidewinder starting players? I'd just really like to see this in the game.

Say you're mining in one system and you want to ship your freight to a station 2 systems away where you know you will get more money. Instead of flying there yourself, you fly to the nearest station in your system, dump your goods there (if there's room) and post a contract. The contract will consist of the usuals: time to complete (real time) how much you're willing to pay, and the fine if your goods are delivered unsuccessfully (maybe link it to the total price of goods based on average selling price). The posting remains until either the contract is taken or if you later decide to cancel it and haul it yourself. This allows you more time to

Now say you're the guy willing to take the contract. In order for you to accept it, you must pay up the fine as collateral first, or pay for insurance. This insurance price will be based on % of contracts successfully completed, giving more weight to all those contracts you took from NPCs. Perhaps this will drive you to put out contracts for escorts that pay a set amount every set period (maybe like every 15minutes or so)
 
Have a rep, I really like this idea, I would love to fly escort for players and get paid for it, I watch their backs while they mine for minerals, everyone's happy
 
I like this idea a lot. Also the idea of having player created contracts for escorts. Maybe you set a fixed amount per hour for the amount of time they spend on your wing. Or a percentage of profit for the mission you're on.

For bounties, they could provide a system similar to that introduced in SWG. When you get killed by another player, and you were 'clean', you get the option to add an amount of credits to that player's bounty. This solves the griefing problem. Also, for those folks who are real good at killing others and getting away with it, they'd see their bounties swell to huge amounts! Bounties would expire after a time, say, a week, so that the credits would be returned to the player who posted them if the bounty is not claimed.
