players shooting players in space ports

I suggest this needs looking into =]

There's a guy shooting a lot of commanders inside tenche blaauw port over the last few days, he will shoot at them while there docking/undocking and when there point defence or turreted weapons retaliate the commanders are being killed by the space ports for something they didn't start! Costing millions in insurance it would be nice if the port helped the victims instead of killing them.

Except when war is declared any commander firing at a station or at a ship in the no fire zone should have docking privileges withdrawn everywhere. I would think any station manager regardless of faction would want to do everything to discourage such behaviour.

It is conceivable that it could be an accident so the first time perhaps reinstate docking privileges after 24 hours and give a stiff fine, but if they do it again then goodnight Vienna.

I think they'll make it so you cannot dock with the station if the station is hostile towards you. Don't know if this will solve the issue.

simple solution, weapons suppression while in stations, just like boosting..........

but whats this, make the game easier............ sounds like players who are creating scenarios just to get the dev's to dumb down the game....

For the life of me I do not get why people want to play this game in open play. But then I have a very dim view of humanity.

I know what you mean, but once your 3 or 4 jumps away from the aforementioned "lawless and overrun" systems you're OK. The player population is too thin on the ground out here for the sociopaths to have any fun, so they don't venture out but there's still enough players to have a decent multiplayer experience.

I doff my cap to CMDR X for his honourable piratical behaviour near GD-51 187 yesterday. I relinquished 1/3 of my cargo (I'm only in an Adder) after an epic interdiction struggle and he did me no harm. I even passed him a couple of times in supercruise after that and he never attacked me again.

In thse areas the PVP feel right. It adds the peril that makes trading fun but it doesn't become childish or grief-y.

Indeed, this hurts the insurance companies the most. One would assume that the said insurance companies would withdraw insurance from mass murderers and put a price on their heads. Kill them and they'll have to actually buy a new ship, rather than have insurance pay for one.

Some people like the adrenaline, others like seeing something that isn't a machine and can be interacted with.

Maybe I'm just getting old and curmudgeony but the years and years of online gaming have just made me tired of interactions with these non-machines. When I do play multiplayer games anymore I tend to mute/block everyone lol.
