Newcomer / Intro Playing on a laptop?

My systems a little old, how does Elite run? Is it playable on a laptop?

System Model Aspire 5755G

GPU : Nvidia GeForce GT 630M (1 GB)
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU - 2.20GHz, 2201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Total Physical Memory 5.85 GB

For the price i'd want a decent fps, obviously grpahics settings will take a hit.

thanks

PJ

Borderline, tbh.

It just about ran on a 2.4 GHz i3 laptop with Intel HD4000 IGP, but with resolution and all the eye-candy dialled down.

Thats better than my laptop poster! I play on desktop and laptop, laptop plays it fine just dial graphics to medium if problems, enjoy the game!!!! suspect with I7 you will get away with high, but me i personally set laptop to medium.

See you out there..... well remember Space is big!

My desktop is 7 yrs old, ED was runing with lowest graphic settings and was ok so what you got there, it is very playable config :)

I'm running on an Asus n55sf i7-2670qm with a gt555m card, not fantastic, fps drops to 13-15 whilst docking, but playable...

EDIT: Forgot to add.. 2gb video ram, and it usually uses c1.4gb video ram on my machine, so graphics could suffer

Just make sure you get enough airflow on that laptop, or it'll cook itself. ED can get very graphics intensive and really work that GPU.

I use a laptop too but it's got a bit more memory. You should be fine if you dumb down the graphics quality a bit.

I play Elite Dangerous on an Asus G75VW Gamer Republic laptop. Quad core, 16GB of ram, with 3GB ram for video. Works great with the Saitek X52 Pro. Just make sure your laptop has plenty of airflow and turn off unneeded background tasks.

You should be able to play fine on that laptop...

My laptopis an i7, with a Gforce M860 gfx card, and it runs the game on maximum on everything.
