I don't know how many people are playing the game on a Laptop, but I have noticed that some people posting on Frontier's Facebook, are complaining about scrolling with their touchpad. Forget about using your touchpad, because although it may be possible, I can't really say, because I never use it. Get yourself a decent mouse, either remote or wired version that has a scroll wheel.
I never ever use the touchpad on my Laptops, because I just can't get on with them. I have always used a remote Mouse, even when I am not playing games, I always use a Mouse. It's so much easier to control your cursor.
