Newcomer / Intro Playing with friends

Hello all,

I've not had much luck finding an answer on this, so I'm hoping the kind folks here will educate me. 2 friends of mine and I all started and joined a group. When we play together, we do a private group game. We end up starting very far away from each other, though. We end up not really being able to play together. :\

Is there a way to "fix" this? Or is there a way to ensure that we all start in the same area so we can actually play together?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice. It is appreciated. :)

Starting points are random in the game. Take a look on the galactic map, and all of you pick a point in between you all. Work your way there, running missions, getting bounties, etc.

There is no point in doing private group until you are all in the same general area.
