Playstation Camera support!

Hi ED Dev Team,

it would be wonderfull if ED for PS4 Supports the Head Tracking Mode of the Playstation Camera lie War Thunger does.
I Love using my TrackIR on PC and would love headtracking on PS4 even more. To me ED is allmost unplayable without headtracking :)

The motion control features of the dual shock are going to be utilised from what Gary said in the newsletter. The camera would seem to me to be redundant unless VR support is in.

So, if we get full control customisation (and no reason to think there wouldn't be) then the motion control should be able to be used for always-on headlook, or, for some ship controls (yaw/pitch/roll/throttle etc).

I'm hoping for PSVR support at launch (or if not, soon after), but the potential for the dualshock controls alone could be very special for this game.

Strapping the controller to my head does not seem feasible to me :)

I see, there are not to many people around that use head tracking right now.

Is motion control going to be a help or a hindrance though? I've never felt the motion control on the dualshock to be any good.

There is no need to strap it to your head, superglue is ok ;)

It will be better than nothing though and doesn't have to be super accurate.
Don't forget that most cockpits have a slightly restricted field of view anyway, and the sensitivity should be adjustable too.

If you have the side panels set to open on looking at them via headlook, this alone will save you time, i guarantee it.

You will of course need a second control, as the one superglued to your head will be difficult to handle properly :D
