PLEASE, add a confirm window for abandoning contracts...

I don't know if it is because I scrolled too fast in and out of the Transactions list, but more than 3 times now, I suddenly discover that I am carrying Stolen cargo, and I have to pay some fines... Even if I definitely don't recall abandoning the corresponding transport missions (hence it would be a bug, which I can't confirm), I know I sometimes clicked on the abandon button by mistake.

Accepting a mission is always a thoughtful decision, and I believe abandoning it should also be a thoughtful decision.

So pretty PLEASEeeeeee.... Add a Confirmation Window when abandoning one...

Something like "Are you sure you want to abandon this contract?" Yes/No

Thank you.

Please don't.

Sorry, but I am over these "Are you sure?" - Yes, "Really?" - Yes, " Don't you want to think about it again?" - Noooooo!!!!!, ... confirmations.

It's a game, not a life-insurance conclusion ^^ and it's called "Dangerous" :D

So why not removing all "Are you sure ?" windows while you are at it, including self destruct...? That makes no sense.

I do strongly believe that mishaps/misclicks using controllers are common and an easy way to prevent inadvertent clicks, including following lag, is obviously needed. It is even more important since I play only with Oculus Rift

You mean you abandon missions so often that it would not make you lose precious time... Maybe you are just trolling here... I don't get it.

At the very least reestablish ESC key functionality to back you out of interface menus before going to the game main menu.

I know I wouldn't have lost missions if that worked as it should (like it did in Beta 1).

Not trolling, I just don't want to have to confirm any single action I take in a game.

And the risk of abandon a single mission, or some from time to time as you described, is just a small fee to pay for not confirming 1000 other actions in between.

Again, how often do you abandon missions? Me almost never, and yet, since I use a X52 pro controller and Oculus Rift, just scanning through the menus often leads to inadvertent clicks... and abandon of missions I didn't want to abandon. It's probably not an issue at all with keyboard and mouse.

I don't believe it would hurt your gaming experience, and would make others' better... So why not?

Happened to me too a couple of times. Now I'm extra careful in that menu. I wouldn't mind a confirmation screen.

I'd like the Launch option disabled whilst you're still being docked as lag has sometimes seen that get misclicked and me being launched immediately after landing and having to fly right out of the station, re-request docking permission and land again, all because of laggy input selection. Gah!

But on topic yeah, I'd like confirmation on rare "important" options like this. Abandon mission, self destruct, etc.

Actually I did abandon some missions during beta 2 when I could not make them in time anymore and wanted to get rid of the stolen cargo before approaching the next station.

If it's about the lag or some of your controls, getting rid of the lag or maybe rearranging the menus to reduce likelihood of a mis-click would be the better way to go from my point of view.

I am using HOTAS and also abandoned one mission by accident in beta 2, then I learned my lesson.
It even happened that I accepted a mission by accidident and still I also don't want a confirmation for this.

Some mis-clicks from time to time also wont really harm your gameplay, and for me it's just to reduce such confirmations to a minimum because as mentioned I just see them too often in my day to day PC use at work and at home (I am one of these shift+delete users ...).

So you were asking for confirmation implementation and I am just asking not to introduce it.
It's not that I want to reduce your game experience, it's my risk acceptance level vs. having to do confirmations for actions I do intend to do.

Maybe *gasp* an option! "Show confirmation dialogs Y/N". Habitual misclickers enable, people who hate confirmations disable. Win win :) I can't see FD doing this though, past history shows they're really averse to options of this sort and would rather make everyone use the same setup.

a toggle option in "options" to add "request confirmation" seems like an easy win for everyone imo.

edit... should have read all posts, Barns beat me to it
